HERRICK BROWN & Company Ltd.

Expert for the potential claimant.

A computer dealer had supplied several computers to a government establishment, who were refusing to pay for one computer on the grounds that it was faulty.

Service engineers had visited the site on several occasions, and had always fixed all the faults reported to them.

The supplier was preparing to sue for the outstanding money, and was advised by his solicitor to get an Expert Report to support the claim.

I visited the establishment, with copies of the invoices listing the serial numbers of the computers. The first thing that I noticed was that there were more computers than I had expected. I was shown the faulty computer, and checked its serial number. It had not been supplied by the claimant.

This was perhaps the easiest assignment that I have undertaken.
